Start the day with a pleasant beach stroll. Five miles of the resorts beach area make this simple and a lovely remote hike is possible here. After working up a decent appetite, head to Café Haleiwa, a completely casual spot that takes breakfast seriously. It’s great for a lazy breakfast (served till 12:30 p.m.); just be prepared to agonize over morning favorites—pancakes, omelets, granola with berries and yogurt, French toast and home fries, plus coffee drinks. It gets busy in this small spot so you can eat outside on the patio or try another great spot, Hukilau Café in nearby Laie.
