Top 5 Romantic Spots On Kauai

The islands are known for their natural beauty, explored on land and by sea. One top romantic spot is to view Kauai from the sky. Approximately 80% of Kauai is inaccessible by land or sea. Helicopter rides for views of the Waialeale Crater, Na Pali Coast and Waimea Canyon are just a few sights to see from above. Take a helicopter tour for an enthralling experience, a different kind miles above.

Hanalei Bay is undeniably romantic, by day or night. A glorious morning sunset or sunset stroll here is idyllic. Blue green colors, a walk through a charming old town and a sense of ancient Hawaii easily evoke the spirit of romance.

Top Ten Views from a Hawaii Helicopter Tour

Big Island
Hawaii contains many spectacular sights that are best seen from a helicopter tour. One of the most astounding views from the air is Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The primitive volcanic landscapes include huge craters, active lava flows and lava lakes, glowing skylights and lava flowing into the ocean creating clouds of steam and gas.

Lava activity is usually unpredictable, yet Kilauea Volcano has been erupting consistently since 1983 and most of the active lava areas can only be seen by helicopter. Helicopter tours on the Big Island also fly over lush and tropical rainforests, huge waterfalls and the impressive Hilo Bay bordering Hilo town.

Spouting Horn Park – Known as Puhi (Blowhole) by ancient Hawaiians, Spouting Horn sends up huge plumes of water when the waves smash against the underwater lava shelf funneling a geyser skyward from the narrow hole in the rocks.

According to legend a huge mo’o (lizard) was caught in this blowhole and you can still hear the moaning sounds today. Spouting Horn is located along Lawai Road just south of the traffic circle
