Islands like Hawaii are so remote that the creatures there tend to be at least a little different than anywhere else. Take, for example, the monk seal. These adorable sea puppies can only be found on the Hawaiian islands.
Another animal you can see in Hawaii is the green sea turtle.
This is the largest species of hard-shell turtle in the world. In fact, these creatures can weigh up to 700 pounds. Adult sea turtles are herbivorous, but juvenile ones will eat jellyfish, crabs and sponges. It’s one of the only turtles known to sunbathe, so you might see one lounging on the beach.
