Vacation review for Kalapana Shores in Kalapana Shores, Big Island:
Quiet, dark sky location. Very nice house with all the typical ammenities that you would require in a rental property; silverware, linens, satellite TV, Internet, etc. Nice view of the ocean from the lanai. 2.5 hours to the Kona side, but plenty of things to do and see less than an hour from this house. Hilo does not have a large selection of restuarants so the kitchen will get some use.
