The house is clean, organized, and well maintained. It also was fully stocked with beach toys and gear for kids and families. Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay very much and had plenty of room in this cute house.

The location ,the yard and the service was excellent.The house grows on you over time but it really is in an unacceptable state of repair.The porch is outright dangereous due to the wood splitting and the beach furniture is all old ,rosty and moldy. In addition the bathroom in the master bedroom is barely functional due to its size and the hot water sometimes comes on and sometimes it does not.
I cannot recommend this to any of my friends despite the outstanding location.In fact I was a bit embaressed to have invited my brother from Switzerland .

The unit was spotlessly clean with everything in it that we needed. The owners made sure that when we arrived there was coffee and fruit available as well as cleaning products. The home was spacious and so peaceful. Our landlord was available at all times for questions but did not intrude on our holiday. A perfect host. The best part of the trip was the peace, tranquillity and the beautiful beaches. We did not find a restaurant that was memorable. I would have not problem recommending this home and Oahu to friends who truly need a break and for those who want a more active holiday.

Our stay at Pikake Hale was fantastic. There were 10 of us and plenty of room for everyone. The sunsets were fantastic, didn't miss one all week. Downtown Kailua is great place for dining and shopping. Buzz's, Lucy's and Pinky's were great places to get Hawaiian flavors and delicious fresh fish. Lori and Dave were wonderful hosts and there was nothing we were missing at the house. Everything we needed was available. We would recommend Pikake Hale as the perfect vacation home...looking forward to more time in paradise! Thank you, Sharin Geister, Lincoln, CA

The Peacock house was spacious and had enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own space when needed. The Two Wahines on the Beach were very responsive to our calls if we needed them. The best part of staying at the house was the daily visits from the Peacocks. We've told all our friends about them. The house is in a very, very quiet neighborhood, free from any traffic noises. However, there are lots of bird noises, peacocks honking and pidgeons and doves cooing, which we find very relaxing. The best part of our trip was visiting with family and friends. The best shopping can be found at the Aloha Swap meet on Wednesdays, Saturday and Sunday. Good restaurants in the area are L&L plate lunch places, and Big City Diner. We also like Rainbow Drive Inn and Kakaako Kitchen.

We would have liked to have had a couple of beach chairs. We used the molded plastic ones, which were a little cumberson to handle, but it was just a minor inconvenience. ("Managers Note: beach chairs and boogie boards will be provided beginning Summer 2008.")

We loved staying at the Peacock house and hope it's available for our next trip to Hawaii. Thanks again for everything.

Great location in a quiet Kailua neighborhood. Close to Enchanted Lakes shopping (groceries), and Kailua restaurants. Clean apartment, nice kitchen for cooking and patio to eat outside. Eliminates the need to eat every meal at a restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay at the Apartment by Kailua Beach. The unit was clean an had many amenities. I was born and raised in Hawaii and now live on the mainland. I have stayed at various places and by far this was one of the best. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by such a wonderful array of Island goodies, which was ono (yummy). The house and yard was beautiful. Main area opening to the pool was grand and very functional. The House had a great breezeways through out to keep it cool. The king sized beds were great! Very quiet area with a spectacular beach. I would go again if I had the opportunity.

The house and the views from the house were amazing. The kids especially enjoyed the pool. The one drawback was that the third room was accessible from the upstairs porch, so none of the kids wanted to stay in there, and the room was unused. Other than that, the house was great. We had a wonderful time at Makanani O Ke Kai.

Great location and real nice on-site manager. Only problem was first 2 days with noisy upstairs tenants, but all was fine after they left.
